Projects and Webinars

If you feel like giving back to your community or world,
joining our club is a great way to get involved as much (or as little) as your time permits.

  • The Club is actively disributing over 1,500 dictionaries to area third graders as part of The Dictionary Project.  In conjunction with other Baltimore Rotary Clubs, we will distribute dictionaries to nearly 85% of all Baltimore County Public Schools in 2008-2009.    Scroll to the bottom of this page to see a video presentation. 
  • Members visit Manor Care Retirement Community residents for a monthly sing-a-long and to share ice cream and cake
  • The Club gives away thousands of dollars a year in annual scholarships
  • Several Club members mentor weekly at Pleasant Plains Elementary
  • The Club is working with the Lazarus Project to distribute refurbished computers to community groups and individuals in need
  • The Club raised funds for the purchase of an ambulance for a Nepalese hospital
  • The club raised funds to furnish classrooms and provide materials to the Starfish School, an elementary school for the poor in Brazil.  Science Lab Pictures (Warning: Large File)
  • The Club has raised thousands of dollars through its yearly bull roast for the Children’s Guild, a non-profit Baltimore school providing special needs education for children with emotional disabilities
  • Several of the club’s members provide an inner-city Boy Scout Troop with money and leadership
  • Partnering with the White Nights Rotary Club in St Petersburg, the club provided computers and internet service to a Russian school for orphans
